Exams

Exams are a fact of life - everyone at school has them, and most people want to do their best in them.

Its easy to get stressed when exams are coming up. See the page on stress for ways to deal with this.

There are some handy do's and don'ts for exams:

Do start your revision in plenty time.

Do plan what you are going to revise and when, and stick to it.

Don't avoid revision subjects you find hard.

Do ask for help if theres something you don't understand.

Do take short breaks every so often to give your brain a break.

Don't revise all night before an exam, get a good nights sleep.

Don't worry about an exam after you've done it.

Do remember that exams are not all there is to life.

The last point is one of the most important things to remember. Yes, exams are important, but so are lots of other things. If you do your best in your exams then there's nothing more you can do.

Think about the adults you know. Do you know how they all did in their exams? You probably don't. Theres a lot more to a person than just how well they did in their exams. And God loves us all no matter what our exam grades are!
