About the country

The Czech Republic used to be part of Czechoslovakia. It was a communist country until 1989, and split away from Czechoslovakia in 1993. It has been quite hard for the country, and lots of people don't have enough money.
Nearly half the people in the Czech Republic don't believe God exists. Lots of church leaders are old and there aren't many young ones to replace them.
Things to pray for

That God would show he exists to the people who don't believe in him.

That the Christians would be enthusiastic and tell lots of people about Jesus.

That the people would have enough money and food.

There would be enough church leaders for all the churches.

Denmark was once the home of the Vikings, and is now quite a rich country. It is a very religious country - 95% Evangelical Lutheran.

Estonia used to be ruled by Sweden and Russia before becoming a country by itself.
There are lots of religious groups in the country, and some cults work there.

The people in cults to follow Jesus instead.

France suffered a lot in the first and second world wars. A lot of people died and they lost a lot of money. It is now one of the main countries in the European Union.
Lots of small churches find it hard in France because the laws stop them doing things. There are quite a lot of Gypsys in France, and lots of them have become Christians. Not many of the other French people go to church, and there are also a lot of occult workers.

Things to pray for

That small churches would find it easier, and more people would join them.

That more French people would get excited abour Jesus and start going to church.

Thank God that lots of Gypsys have become Christians.

That the European Union would help countries to get on better.

That the occult workers would hear about Jesus and decide to follow him.

After the second world war Germany was split into two parts; the East and West. They joined up again in 1990. Germany is one of the main countries in the European Union.
Germany is one of the richest countries in the world, but has quite high unemployment. Lots of refugees want to go there, and criminals sometimes smuggle them in illegally.
Most of the Christians in Germany are quite old. Not many people go to church.

Things to pray for

That Germany would solve its unemployment problem.

That the police could stop the criminals smuggling people into the country.

That young people would hear about Jesus and decide to follow him.

That the politicians in the European Union would do the best thing for the people they represent.
